I am definitely a #4, but I didn't know I hadn't forgiven, until I read your notes about if you think about the incident and still feel the pain of the past, you haven't forgiven. Your message is very helpful and powerful. Thanks
I loved this because it caused me to think about some of my own behaviors. It also reminded me that I know who I am and while I am not perfect my actions and motives are God driven. Loving myself is the first step to avoiding rejection infections. In response to your scenario, I would pause and remind myself that I do not need to be included in everything and it's okay not to be. Then I would ask them how the beach was.
